HY House Sentul is conceived as a retirement home for two homeowners entering a slower, more intentional stage of life. Built around their habit of hosting family and close friends, it balances openness and intimacy through a sequence of warm, connected spaces.
Rooted in Senawa's tropical approach, the project embraces natural ventilation, filtered daylight, and a strong relationship between indoor and outdoor living. Generous openings and shaded transitional areas let the house breathe and set a calm rhythm through the day.
The plan prioritizes comfort, accessibility, and ease of movement, while communal areas become the heart of the home for conversation, shared meals, and everyday rituals. Natural textures, muted tones, and tactile finishes give the spaces warmth and familiarity.
Rather than treating tropical architecture as a visual statement, the project interprets it quietly, through light, air, proportion, and the honest use of materials, for a home that feels grounded and serene.
