A home in South Jakarta shaped by a bold mid-century modern character and a desire for warmth and intimacy.
The ground floor brings together the living, dining, and kitchen as one continuous space, while a mezzanine above introduces a small library for the children - a quiet place for reading and study.
With generous ceiling heights throughout, the challenge was to create a sense of calm and groundedness. The interior is therefore defined by a tactile palette of wood, terrazzo, rattan, and stone, bringing warmth and depth to the open volume.
Rather than treating each space as separate, the materials flow continuously throughout the interior, connecting the different areas into one cohesive whole. The result is a home designed around togetherness - a warm and intimate setting for a family that spends most of their days within its walls.
